Keith Urban is forging ahead with new music prior to the release of his 12th studio album, The Speed of Now Part 1, due to hit shelves and online stores on September 18.

Today, the Kiwi/Aussie Country superstar dropped his latest single, "Superman," along with a music video that reminds us a heck of a lot of that one a-Ha video from the late '80s.

"Superman" is an upbeat track that speaks of a time when things were better -- "When I was with you, baby, I was Superman, Yeah, we were sky high, there was nothing better," Urban sings in the chorus -- something we can all relate to in these uncertain times, separated from those we love.

We've already heard some other samples from the new record; Urban had previously shared the project’s first single, “God Whispered Your Name,” as well as another track, “Polaroid."

In May, the singer made his album announcement with a unique video message that, on the surface, just looked like an update on how he has been spending time during the COVID-19 quarantine. In the end, he dropped the news saying the title came to him in October of 2019, before the health crisis took hold, because he felt like "life was flying by so fast.”

“I would never have imagined that in 2020, this album title would take on a whole new meaning, and yet somehow still feel incredibly relevant,” he added.

Urban kept the creativity coming with a fun, "flipbook" video of himself that he posted on social media to get fans excited about the new single, and now we finally have it in our hands.

2019's ACM Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban is set to virtually host this year's celebration of Country music, originally scheduled for April 5 in Las Vegas.

The 2020 award show will now happen on Wednesday, September 16th, while next year's festivities are shaping up to be fully live.
