A song with meaning 'needed during this time'

June 4, 2020

Kane Brown has released a unifying new song called “Worldwide Beautiful” in an effort to “bring us together” during these times of civil unrest.

With the surprise drop, Brown also vowed to donate all proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) to help champion for social justice and equality for millions of young people.

The Country superstar disclosed on Twitter that he’s been “holding onto this song for over a year” and decided to release it now because he feels it’s “needed during this time.”

Brown previously mentioned the track in interview with Billboard. “I got a song called ‘Worldwide Beautiful’ — this is also my tour name. It’s a song about meaning. It brings up color, that I’m really excited about. I’m really excited to show it to the world.”

In the lyrics Kane references Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, sharing a message of hope about racial divide. Brown sings, “still got some work but we still got a dream.”

The chorus goes on - “You’re missing every color / If you’re only seeing black and white / Tell me how you’re gonna change your mind / If your heart’s unmovable/ We ain’t that different from each other / From one to another, I look around / And see worldwide beautiful.”
