A Steady Heart Rate = A Steady Love Life?

Women with a steady heart rate have a greater chance of being in a relationship.

Scientists discovered that women with so-called fewer changes in their heart rate were nearly twice as likely to be in a relationship at the end of their six-month study as those with a high rate.

One theory is that large changes in heart rate may be linked to the nervous system involved with emotions.

The researchers said, ‘Perhaps it is our heart and not our head that determines which of us will find love after all.’

Other research has shown that being generous to others can also help fight heart disease.

This is because acts of generosity can decrease stress, which can make heart disease worse. Volunteering can also help reduce blood pressure, and have a positive effect on a person’s general well-being
