August 30, 2017

The Air Force’s first female enlisted pilot in its history is ready to pilot an aircraft.

The woman from California enlisted in the Air Force in 2005 and has worked a number of roles in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance fields.

But this month she graduated from the Enlisted Pilot Initial Class program alongside three others to become a RQ-4 Global Hawk drone pilot.

She will now fly the unarmed high-altitude drones on reconnaissance missions all around the world.
