Throw your fear of heights out the window and prepare yourself to see the Seattle like you've never seen the Emerald City before from the glass floors of the newly renovated Space Needle! It's been under construction since the beginning of the year, and Memorial Day weekend they are ready to open the doors and show off their new look and "Space Lift" to the public!

This is not for the faint of heart. As you sit down on the bench, you are slightly leaning back into the glass that is a 250 drop to the ground below you. It's an illusion, and we think a really cool one!

ARE YOU READY FOR IT? Sit up, slide back and see Seattle on an entirely new level. . Our new glass benches, called Skyrisers, will be opening to the public for the very first time at 9 AM tomorrow! -- #spacelift #skyrisers

Each piece of glass weighs 2,500 pounds and had to be put on a crane and lifted and set into place. It takes 28 days after being put into place to cure. Well those 28 days are over.

Anyone up for a climb on the spire? This morning, crews were up at the tallest point of the Needle, 605’ in the air, giving the structure some new paint. --#spacelift • • • PC: @chadcopeland

Some lucky winners have already been able to take a tour!

What’s it like behind-the-scenes of our #spacelift? This afternoon our #seethespacelift photo contest winner, Amy and her friend Paul got a sneak peek of what’s going on behind that wrap, 500’ in the air! --

Here's a video look as they remove the scaffolding.

#ICYMI: It’s a wrap! Last week crews removed our 500’ long wrap overnight. Coming soon: Scaffolding and work platform removal. -- #spacelift • • • Repost: @paddypt
