A Two-Year-Old Girl Called 911 For Some Help With Her Pants

March 4, 2016

It's an important piece of parenting to teach your kids to dial 911 when there's an emergency.  But it's ALSO an important piece of parenting to teach them the definition of the word "emergency."

The sheriff's department in Greenville County, South Carolina got a 911 call on Wednesday from a two-year-old girl.  So a deputy named Martha Lohnes went to her house to check it out.

And the girl's emergency was . . . she was having trouble putting on her PANTS.

A family member was home at the time, but she didn't ask them, and they didn't know she'd called 911.

So Martha helped her pull up her pants.  Then the girl asked for a hug, which Martha says was the best part of her shift.

The girl is obviously NOT going to be charged with misusing 911.
